What other duties may I expect to do on the job?
While Human Services Professionals need to provide the daily care and
support at home, on the job, and in the community, there are other
aspects of the job that are vitally important.
Human Services Professional jobs include some or all of the following:
- Reading and writing daily logs, medical logs, case notes, etc.
- Understanding and following the agency policies and procedures
- Following all state and local regulations and requirements that govern the programs
- Communicating effectively with families and professionals
- Attending training and staff meetings, which may be at different times than your regularly scheduled shift
- Driving either an agency-owned or your own vehicle in the course of your job duties
